Base Salary
$117k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain reliability, performance, and foundational infrastructure health for customer-facing GovCloud services.
- Lead Sev0/Sev1 incident response and participate in post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
- Implement preventative solutions with Global Solutions teams and automate detection and remediation of recurring production issues.
- Ensure Site Reliability Engineering activities align with compliance, security, and operational standards.
- Improve engineering workflows, reduce operational toil, and support continuous learning and professional growth.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 support schedule, including night shifts and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship without dual citizenship, operation on U.S. soil, and eligibility to complete a federal Minimum Background Investigation for a Moderate Public Trust position or other required clearances.
- A related technical degree.
- Experience with enterprise-scale internet service operations or systems engineering.
- Expertise with TCP/IP technologies, networking protocols, or network programming.
- Command-line and administration expertise with Unix variants such as Linux, Solaris, or BSD, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Solaris.
- Knowledge of security monitoring systems and infrastructure administration.
- Familiarity with incident management principles and IT service operation frameworks.
- Experience provisioning, operating, and running AWS/C2S infrastructure and systems.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Ability to support a 24/7 high-availability environment, including shift and on-call rotations.
- Preferred experience with Chef, Puppet, automated deployment, Jenkins, Bamboo, Spinnaker, monitoring and alerting systems, Java applications, AWS CLI/SDKs, Kubernetes, resilience engineering, Agile, DevOps, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS certifications and advanced prompt engineering skills.
