Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, deploy, and support secure, highly available, scalable AWS solutions for enterprise applications.
- Deploy end-to-end application environments covering networking, load balancing, compute, hosting, data services, secrets, certificates, monitoring, security, and CI/CD.
- Configure and support AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, RDS, Aurora, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Build AWS-native AI-enabled applications and orchestration patterns using Amazon Bedrock, LLMs, model endpoints, workflow engines, and enterprise APIs.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code, automated provisioning, deployment automation, reusable templates, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement cloud security, access controls, encryption, secrets management, private connectivity, governance, auditability, and compliance controls.
- Build observability solutions, perform root cause analysis, lead production issue resolution, and improve reliability and incident response.
- Support integrations with Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, vendor SaaS platforms, enterprise AI platforms, and data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct design and operational reviews, establish AWS standards, and mentor engineers and delivery teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise application delivery.
- 8+ years of hands-on AWS engineering experience and proven end-to-end deployment of complex enterprise applications into AWS.
- Deep experience with AWS networking, compute, security, data services, observability, automation, and secure multi-tier architectures.
- Experience with the required AWS services, including VPC, subnets, security groups, Application Load Balancer, EC2, ECS or EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, RDS or Aurora or PostgreSQL, ElastiCache or Redis, S3, Secrets Manager, Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, VPC Endpoints, and PrivateLink.
- Experience building or deploying AI-enabled applications in AWS, including Amazon Bedrock or comparable cloud-based AI service integration.
- Experience integrating applications with LLMs, model endpoints, enterprise AI platforms, or AI orchestration layers, including prompt processing, audit logging, observability, and responsible AI controls.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, DevOps practices, troubleshooting, and production operations.
- Ability to lead technical teams and influence engineering decisions without direct management authority.
- Preferred experience includes Databricks, data pipelines, lakehouse solutions, Java, Python, SQL, backend frameworks, containers, Kubernetes, Agent-to-Agent integrations, and regulated industries.
- AWS Professional-level, AWS AI/ML, Security, DevOps, Architecture, or Databricks certifications are preferred.
