Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements reviews, story elaboration, solution design, code reviews, and testing activities.
- Develop full-stack software and automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, manual exploratory, acceptance, and cross-browser or cross-device tests.
- Create test plans, acceptance criteria, automation scripts, defect-management processes, metrics, status reports, and issue escalations.
- Integrate automated testing with continuous integration and code coverage tools to improve deployment quality and achieve at least 80% code coverage.
- Contribute to architectural design, performance engineering, profiling, and end-to-end product quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to newer team members without direct people-management responsibility.
Requirements
- Demonstrated successful delivery of large software applications as a senior developer.
- Expertise with Agile methodologies and tools including JIRA, Rally, SQL, Oracle Database, Rational Team Concert, and Quality Center.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and exposure to data virtualization tools.
- Expertise building and using automation frameworks with Java, Spring, JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, SoapUI/Pro, REST, JSON, XML, and Eclipse IDE.
- Understanding of technical solutions and software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience creating testing strategies and execution plans, especially for cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Experience integrating test automation with Jenkins or Bamboo and code coverage tools such as Sonar and Clover.
- Exposure to product delivery, performance engineering, profiling, Java JVMs, databases, LoadRunner, and JMeter is desirable.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, and leadership skills.
