Base Salary

$112k - $131k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Architect and operate multi-region AWS environments for resiliency, fault tolerance, and business continuity.
  • Manage AWS services including EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, Route 53, VPC, and IAM.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Develop Python, Bash, and PowerShell automation for provisioning, deployments, testing, and operations.
  • Build and administer Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS, including Helm charts, ingress controllers, service mesh, and container security controls.
  • Implement observability and reliability practices using Datadog, CloudWatch, logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis while improving platform resiliency, security, performance, and operational maturity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to six years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services across compute, networking, storage, security, containers, and serverless technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Advanced experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Helm, service mesh, container security, and cluster optimization.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Strong Linux administration, automation, and scripting skills using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools including Tenable, BlackDuck/Fortify, SonarQube, IAM, secrets management, certificate automation, and cloud security controls.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog and CloudWatch, plus support for regulated environments and standards such as PCI DSS or HIPAA/HITRUST.
  • Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification, regulated-industry experience, platform modernization or cloud migration experience, exposure to AI-assisted engineering and developer productivity platforms, and the ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture decisions.
