Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automation that streamlines software delivery and operations for new and existing applications.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps lifecycle capabilities, including build orchestration, artifact management, automated testing, release automation, configuration management, containers, logging, monitoring, and performance management.
- Implement deployment strategies such as blue/green deployments, canary releases, and rolling releases.
- Support database schema management, orchestration, recovery, compliance automation, audit trails, and accurate collection and display of operational metrics.
- Promote DevOps practices as a strategic culture and delivery capability across teams.
- Coordinate with the DevOps Center for Enablement to follow centralized tools and practices and share team-specific improvements.
- Participate in the Truist Agile Guild and Agile DevOps Communities of Practice.
- Take ownership of multiple initiative components or complex components of the DevOps lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Five years of progressive experience in software engineering or IT consulting, primarily focused on DevOps engineering or developing, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating numerous internal tools for automation and working with Git, TFS, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SQL Server, PL/SQL, Informatica, Oracle, Teradata, Vertica, DB2, enterprise schedulers, Unix shell scripting, ServiceNow, APIs, Python, SAP BI, IBM Cognos, and VB/ASP.NET.
- Ability to work beyond routine tasks using specialized and broad knowledge with limited instruction.
- English language fluency.
