Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure, high-performing full-stack web applications and APIs for the EFAST system.
- Build frontend interfaces, backend services, API integrations, and connections with third-party systems.
- Define API specifications and apply API lifecycle management, governance, security, quality, and performance practices.
- Develop and test RESTful and SOAP services throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud or hybrid environments and support automated testing, integration, and continuous deployment.
- Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, UX designers, system architects, external partners, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, modernization goals, data quality standards, secure coding, and AI/ML integration where applicable.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of full-stack application development and API development, integration, and management experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with Node.js, Spring Boot, Django, or FastAPI for scalable server-side applications and RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency with Swagger, Postman, or similar API development and testing tools, including API lifecycle management and governance.
- Familiarity with Apigee, AWS API Gateway, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud or hybrid application deployment and management.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, including data modeling, query optimization, and database management.
- Knowledge of application and API security, secure coding, authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and JWT, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with data privacy and security standards, API governance, secure data exchange, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and integrating AI/ML capabilities into application workflows where applicable.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced agile environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
