Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services for product teams.
- Lead development of CI/CD platforms and the build, test, and deployment systems supporting applications.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Support Kubernetes, ECS, API Gateway, and Kafka platforms to maintain scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with software engineers, SREs, and security specialists to deliver secure, observable, and resilient platforms.
- Mentor engineers developing their DevOps and platform engineering capabilities.
- Influence platform strategy, tooling decisions, and technical direction across the organisation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
- Experience or interest in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development.
- Proven knowledge of CI/CD principles, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps toolsets, including Pipelines and Repos, and container orchestration with Kubernetes or ECS.
- Hands-on experience with modern programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- A solid understanding of cloud architecture, security, and automation best practices.
- AWS or Azure certification is preferred.
- Collaborative, curious, and problem-solving mindset with an interest in supporting other engineers.
