Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core technology systems built on Unreal Engine.
- Design and implement solutions for the performance and scale requirements of large open-world games.
- Work on streaming, editor tools, physics engine support, memory systems, world-building tools, data pipelines, and engine-level optimizations.
- Collaborate with Epic and internal teams to advance game technology.
- Debug and optimize code, develop strong system architectures, and support multithreaded programming.
- Work across disciplines to meet stakeholder needs and create technology for memorable player experiences.
- Maintain clear communication and trusted relationships with power users of core systems.
Requirements
- Significant experience with Unreal Engine, including one or more of streaming, memory systems, physics, or world-building tools.
- Extensive experience with C++.
- Relevant game development experience, including work on a AAA title.
- Experience developing for PC and consoles.
- Experience with multithreaded programming, system architecture, debugging, and code optimization.
- Collaborative communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
- Experience with custom game engine development is preferred but not required.
