Responsibilities
- Develop fraud prediction and fraud management technology solutions.
- Build and support high-performance, high-availability transaction-processing systems.
- Develop web applications for managing fraud solutions and fraud events.
- Develop web services that expose capabilities to external customers.
- Execute proof-of-concepts for new business opportunities.
- Complete detailed design, development, implementation support, functional testing, and technical testing.
- Integrate vendor and open-source products into overall systems.
- Integrate with Mastercard authorization-network technologies, data structures, and messaging architectures.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, project managers, business partners, and other technology teams.
- Provide production operational support and deliver maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements and technical standards.
Requirements
- Prior software development experience using Java and Test Driven Development methodology.
- Experience developing and supporting high-performance transaction-processing systems.
- Experience with core Java, including multithreading.
- Experience with J2EE web applications and web services using JBoss and WebSphere.
- Experience with Hibernate, Spring, Oracle, PL/SQL, MQ, and JMS.
- Experience with Solaris/UNIX and Red Hat Linux.
- Familiarity with multi-tiered web applications, high-performance and high-availability transaction systems, and architectural patterns.
- Familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience producing detailed designs and estimating work deliverables.
- Familiarity with integrating vendor and open-source products.
- Preferred experience with WebSphere Operational Decision Manager, Eclipse-based IDEs such as JBoss Developer Studio, REST/XML/WSDL/SOAP web services, and production operational support.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and consensus-building skills.
