Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Build and maintain C#-based web services and APIs.
- Design and optimize SQL Server database objects, queries, and stored procedures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Participate in application deployments, releases, and ongoing production support.
- Improve application architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews, share technical knowledge, and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Drive features and technical initiatives from requirements and design through implementation and deployment.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and other stakeholders on features, enhancements, and defect resolution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET.
- Experience developing and maintaining web services and APIs.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with DevExpress or similar enterprise UI frameworks.
- Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting issues, and delivering enhancements.
- Experience with software deployment and release processes.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.
- Preferred experience with WinForms desktop applications, InstallShield, WiX, custom C# installers, legacy .NET modernization, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or regulated enterprise software environments.
- Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.
