Base Salary
$105k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices for efficient data processing and real-time messaging.
- Architect and implement Kafka data pipelines using streams, topics, producers, consumers, partitioning, and replication.
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures while optimizing relational database operations.
- Integrate microservices with Kafka and build or consume APIs and third-party services.
- Deploy, scale, and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize database and messaging performance.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers in iterative Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
Requirements
- Proven Java development experience with Java 8 or higher, focused on data-intensive applications.
- Strong SQL expertise, including complex queries, database optimization, and stored procedures.
- Deep understanding of Apache Kafka architecture and hands-on Kafka integration with microservices.
- Experience designing microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented systems.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred qualifications include real-time streaming and processing experience, RabbitMQ familiarity, and contributions to open-source Kafka projects or complex data pipelines.
