Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality software that supports business, stakeholder, and customer outcomes.
- Contribute significantly to the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain services, event-driven systems, user interfaces, and database-backed applications.
- Respond urgently to operational issues and own resolution within scope.
- Participate actively in code reviews and provide meaningful technical feedback.
- Improve team processes, code, and work items.
- Prioritize work, propose scope adjustments, and advance team goals with the manager.
- Identify technical blind spots, clarify ambiguity, and coordinate requirements across teams.
- Build cross-team relationships and collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Architect, Product Manager, and engineering team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.
- 4+ years of experience with microservices and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or another event-processing service.
- 4+ years of experience with a modern UI framework such as React.js or Angular.
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and VPC.
- 4+ years of experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and DocumentDB.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, and PowerShell.
- Exposure to observability tools including Splunk, ELK Stack, and DataDog.
- Understanding of software testing strategies including unit testing, BDD, and TDD.
- Knowledge of Gen AI, LLMs, Python, or Databricks is a plus.
- AWS or Azure Developer certification is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, take initiative, learn from feedback, and work collaboratively across teams.
