Base Salary

$148k - $246k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support FX trading venues and related complex applications.
  • Build and operate large-scale, low-latency trading platforms using Java.
  • Develop and support cloud services and collaborate with product development teams on cloud-aware applications.
  • Create automated processes to prevent, identify, and resolve issues affecting service availability.
  • Deliver improvements involving cost savings, security, ease of use, and reliability.
  • Investigate complex issues spanning multiple technologies and drive them through completion.
  • Collaborate with architects and distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong Java programming skills and experience writing clean code.
  • Expertise in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture and memory management.
  • Proficiency with profiling tools and specialized low-latency application libraries and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of TCP, UDP, and HTTP network protocols, network performance, and network-communication optimization.
  • Experience with software testing, delivery, and infrastructure-change automation and exposure to DevOps practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively, and communicate well.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and SQL or NoSQL is desired.
