Responsibilities
- Own technical solutions for complex EDE and ACRE capabilities from requirements through production delivery, including solution design, implementation strategy, and operational readiness.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable platform capabilities, technical specifications, and implementable engineering work.
- Design, develop, and enhance platform services and applications using Java, Spring, SpEL, Next.js, and related technologies.
- Drive architectural evolution, technical direction, tradeoff evaluation, and implementation guidance across related services.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, design reviews, code reviews, prototyping, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, business partners, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, reusable patterns, and best practices.
- Maintain solution designs, implementation details, architectural decisions, and operational documentation.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational health through observability, automation, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Support deployments, release management, production operations, and incident response.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted engineering practices, market trends, and industry best practices.
- Exercise independent judgment and provide technical leadership on complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing scalable applications and services with Java and Spring.
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservice-based platforms at scale.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions and technical roadmaps.
- Ability to independently drive technical solutions and deliver complex initiatives from concept through production.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, automated testing, CI/CD practices, observability, performance optimization, and production operations.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, distributed architectures, and modern application development practices.
- Ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives, influence architecture, drive engineering decisions, and align stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering, product, architecture, and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Spring Expression Language, rules engines, decision frameworks, or configuration-driven business logic platforms.
- Preferred experience with personalization, decisioning, workflow orchestration, recommendation systems, real-time customer experiences, streaming, asynchronous processing, or cloud-native platforms.
- Preferred experience developing modern web applications with Next.js, React, TypeScript, or comparable frontend technologies.
- Preferred knowledge of AI/ML-driven solutions, experimentation frameworks, real-time data processing systems, and AI-assisted software development tools.
