Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture, design, implementation, validation, and delivery of IMS software features across signaling, media, and telephony.
- Develop and commercialize VoLTE, VoNR, VoWiFi, SMS over IMS, emergency calling, IMS registration, Multi-SIM, EPS fallback, and call continuity capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture and design reviews, mentor engineers, and make technical decisions for complex IMS enhancements.
- Analyze SIP signaling, RTP media, registration, handover, mobility, emergency calling, and network interoperability issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Collaborate with modem, NAS, RRC, MMCP, Telephony, Android Framework, Data Services, carrier testing, architecture, product, verification, and customer teams.
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP, GSMA, carrier, and regulatory requirements while contributing to automation, patents, proof-of-concepts, and engineering quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Science, or a related engineering discipline; master's or PhD degrees are also accepted.
- 8–12 years of software development experience and 5+ years of hands-on IMS, VoLTE, VoNR, or telecom protocol development experience.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
- At least 2 years of programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, complex software debugging, cross-functional collaboration, and IMS protocol expertise.
