Responsibilities
- Design and implement quality engineering testing strategies for complex business requirements.
- Advocate for quality and participate actively in agile team ceremonies.
- Design and develop detailed test cases covering complex use cases, scenarios, and functional requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate application logic and identify defects.
- Perform functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Mainframe and front-end applications.
- Test reports and validate the accuracy of financial data calculations.
- Collaborate on shift-left testing and automation reuse within cross-functional agile teams.
- Document and track defects with detailed reproduction steps and expected and actual results.
- Contribute to test automation and quality engineering best practices.
- Communicate quality, resource, and project issues to management.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with team members to resolve them.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of software QA or quality engineering experience.
- Strong experience creating and executing manual and automated test cases against defined requirements.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Cucumber, Selenium, and Python.
- Understanding of agile principles, DevOps, shift-left testing, in-sprint testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, qTest, or an equivalent test management tool.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues collaboratively.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, attention-to-detail, and independent-working skills.
- Insurance domain knowledge and finance or accounting experience are preferred.
- Experience with SQL queries, MongoDB, DB2, and IMS is preferred.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, C#, or other programming languages is preferred.
- Knowledge of BDD and TDD testing frameworks is preferred.
- Experience using prompt engineering in generative AI chatbots and agentic AI for testing is preferred.
- Enhanced Reliability Clearance is an asset.
