
Software Quality Engineer, AVP

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive sprint test plans in Xray.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Expand and maintain automated UI and API test coverage.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated test failures and maintain test environments.
- Manage defect logging, triage, root cause analysis, tracking, and resolution.
- Validate acceptance criteria, identify quality risks and edge cases, and ensure Jira stories and defects meet Definition of Done criteria.
- Coordinate cross-team swarm testing, master test plans, and end-to-end validation across systems and workflows.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, architects, business analysts, developers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Configure and manage automated test environments using Jenkins or TeamCity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and present completed QA stories, functionality, and test coverage to stakeholders.
- Drive modern QA practices, including AI-assisted testing, and educate team members on end-to-end workflows.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Exposure to financial services and/or investment management domains.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proven UI and/or API test automation experience.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical test plans.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, independence, and time-management skills.
- Performance testing experience with JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred.
