Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual tests for Salesforce applications.
- Create reusable automation frameworks and utilities to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Develop testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Validate Salesforce configurations, custom objects, workflows, triggers, automation rules, permissions, and sharing concepts.
- Perform API, integration, data validation, and backend testing using REST/SOAP APIs, SOQL, and SQL.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release readiness and continuous testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements and user stories into comprehensive testing plans.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software testing experience with a strong focus on automation testing.
- 3+ years of Salesforce testing experience covering manual and automated testing.
- 6+ years of hands-on test automation using modern programming languages such as Java or Python with web automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships, workflows or flows, validation rules, profiles, permission sets, and sharing concepts.
- Knowledge of SOQL and SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience with API testing tools and with test and defect management platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or qTest.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Salesforce Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
