Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable microservice components and production-ready software applications.
- Implement Python services for complex data processing and maintainable backend logic.
- Design Java-based service layers that integrate with existing platforms and provide reliable transactional behavior.
- Build JavaScript frontend features integrated with backend microservices.
- Write optimized SQL queries and database procedures while maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation covering service contracts, data flows, configuration, and runbooks.
- Write unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to automated testing pipelines.
- Troubleshoot defects in microservices and database logic through root cause analysis and validation.
- Monitor application health using logs, metrics, and dashboards and recommend performance improvements.
- Follow secure development practices for authentication, authorization, encryption, and data handling.
- Work effectively in the stated hybrid environment through digital tools and in-person collaboration.
Requirements
- One to 10 years of professional software engineering experience building production-ready applications.
- Strong Python development proficiency, including common libraries, frameworks, and structured coding conventions.
- Hands-on Java experience for backend services, including object-oriented design and exception handling.
- Practical JavaScript experience for user interface development, event handling, state management, and API integration.
- Solid SQL knowledge including query optimization, joins, indexing, and relational data modeling.
- Understanding of microservices fundamentals including service boundaries, stateless design, interservice communication, and resilience patterns.
- Familiarity with source control workflows, continuous integration tools, and automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Exposure to asset and wealth management processes is desirable.
- Clear communication with technical and nontechnical partners and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous learning.
