Responsibilities
- Build and maintain systems responsible for Starling’s payment integrations.
- Own and improve integrations with Faster Payments, BACS, SWIFT, and other third-party payment systems.
- Deliver new features, reliability improvements, and mandated changes while maintaining correctness and system stability.
- Write clear, concise, maintainable code and develop robust, scalable systems.
- Participate in Starling’s technical interview process, including a take-home technical test and technical interviews.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java experience.
- Strong understanding of delivering robust and scalable systems.
- Proven track record of engineering excellence and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and maintainable code.
- Experience with AWS and Postgres is highly desirable.
- Interest in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
