Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and hands-on Java development for cross-functional, multi-platform software applications.
- Provide daily technical leadership during agile ceremonies and establish and maintain technical standards.
- Lead estimating, planning, solution design, application development, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation.
- Develop new applications and rewrite or enhance existing client-facing portal platforms.
- Analyze requirements, feasibility, costs, timelines, compatibility, and integration with existing programs and hardware.
- Ensure application performance requirements are achieved and facilitate complex problem resolution.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and review software coding, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Typically requires 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
- Strong Java development and technical design experience is preferred.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, OCP, Spring, Oracle, MongoDB, and RESTful or SOAP web services is preferred.
- Angular or JavaScript experience, Agile experience, and HTML or CSS knowledge are a plus.
- Preferred capabilities include application development, architecture, application testing, packaged application integration, release management, technical troubleshooting, and software solutions.
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered.
