Base Salary
$197k - $247k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, launch, and iterate on Benefits products that improve benefits-renewal experiences.
- Automate complex manual health-insurance processes to reduce errors and save time.
- Write frontend code and design and build reliable backend APIs across the full product lifecycle.
- Own multi-quarter technical projects and drive large cross-functional initiatives from scoping through delivery.
- Mentor engineers and help solve complex technical problems at scale.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Data, Design, and Platform Engineering teams to understand customer needs and deliver solutions.
- Implement A/B tests and experimentation to measure customer impact.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of software development experience.
- Experience owning multi-quarter projects that solve complex engineering problems and produce measurable customer impact at scale.
- Experience driving large, cross-functional projects end-to-end through ambiguity, including scoping, sequencing, stakeholder alignment, and unblocking teams.
- Experience implementing A/B tests or experimentation.
- Experience leveraging AI tools or systems to accelerate development, improve testing, and deliver product capabilities.
- Curiosity about emerging AI frameworks and the ability to evaluate and scale AI use safely across teams.
- Ability to mentor engineers and maximize their performance and impact.
- Experience in or interest in Ruby on Rails.
- Ability to build well-structured, maintainable, well-documented code in a collaborative, test-driven environment.
- Effective communication across engineering teams and with business stakeholders.
