Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and management on application architecture and design.
- Develop efficient and secure Java applications, peer-review code, and document solutions.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate cloud services and other applications.
- Design and develop relational and NoSQL data models.
- Write unit tests and continuously improve engineering processes and quality.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and quality assurance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience with Java-based applications.
- Experience with Spring Boot, iBATIS or Hibernate, messaging systems, Spring REST, Spring Web, Spring Data Repository, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud Stream.
- Experience with cloud deployments, service integrations, RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL data models, and JUnit unit testing.
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
- Understanding of n-tier architecture and development methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Apache or Tomcat, SQL and stored procedures, and DB2, MySQL, or Maria databases.
- Ability to communicate how technologies work and why, and to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
