Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering strategy for tools and automation across application, platform, and infrastructure build, test, release, and configuration activities.
  • Create end-to-end solution options, coordinate stakeholders, and develop and document detailed application and system designs.
  • Develop, code, and maintain complex applications and systems aligned with business requirements, architecture direction, performance standards, and development standards.
  • Analyze requirements, environments, infrastructure needs, data impacts, and performance considerations to recommend optimal solutions.
  • Review technical deliverables and code, conduct operational readiness reviews, and identify quality, redesign, risk, governance, and remediation needs.
  • Define application metrics and performance goals with technology partners and address application, data, cross-capability, and cross-release issues.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentorship, knowledge transfer, and industry best practices to team members and business partners.
  • Support continuous improvement, automation, cost-effectiveness, defect prevention, risk management, and alignment with regulatory and enterprise requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate, with a strong academic background such as computer science or engineering.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree is considered an asset.
  • Extensive understanding of the supported business and deep expertise in technology concepts, technical environments, technology direction, and related tools.
  • Experience providing technical guidance as a senior specialist or top technical lead on complex development and design issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously on highly complex, multifaceted projects and provide leadership and direction to teams.
  • Strong collaboration, research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
