Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support robust and stable solutions across Amazon’s mobile shopping apps.
- Profile and optimize app startup, latency, and runtime performance across critical customer code paths.
- Build systems and tooling that automatically detect performance regressions before they reach customers.
- Develop AI-assisted mobile development systems using approaches such as automated anomaly detection and root-cause diagnosis.
- Partner with teams across Amazon to improve performance-critical code paths and remove bottlenecks.
- Help improve mobile development practices across the organization.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of Android development experience.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of Apple platform development experience.
