Responsibilities
- Provision and manage multi-platform cloud compute environments and automate environment configuration.
- Coordinate host access and workload isolation while maintaining cloud subscriptions for compliance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Own and extend benchmarking infrastructure for virtual machine lifecycle measurements and analyze performance metrics.
- Design single-instance and concurrent-burst benchmarking experiments and identify performance regressions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test, and validation workflows triggered by code changes.
- Manage delivery channels for kernel, VM, and agent artifacts and improve developer feedback loops.
- Troubleshoot Linux and Windows development and test environments.
- Automate infrastructure and engineering workflows through scripting and tooling.
- Support virtualization and hypervisor-based environments and investigate infrastructure, performance, and test regressions.
- Partner with engineers and researchers to improve the reliability and scalability of development infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience with Linux systems administration and OS-level troubleshooting.
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD, test infrastructure, and engineering automation.
- At least 3 years of experience in systems or infrastructure engineering, including virtualization, cloud compute environments, and scripting.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and experience troubleshooting complex development environments.
- Experience with cloud compute environments, infrastructure automation, scripting, automated engineering workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build and test processes.
- Demonstrated experience appropriate for a senior-level systems/infrastructure engineering role.
- Preferred qualifications include meaningful open-source contributions, a strong GitHub portfolio, experience at a major technology company, virtualization and hypervisor experience, VM lifecycle operations, performance benchmarking, systems performance analysis, Linux and Windows test environments, systems software, systems research, research engineering, testing or benchmarking infrastructure, and AI-enabled automation or AIOps infrastructure.
