Responsibilities
- Lead complex, large-scale and companywide software engineering initiatives.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and review enterprise technology solutions.
- Develop Java and Spring microservices, distributed systems, REST and gRPC service integrations, and messaging solutions.
- Build modern React applications and integrate them with backend services.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices for architecture, quality, automation, reliability, and maintainability.
- Lead projects and teams while mentoring engineers through design reviews, code reviews, testing strategy, and production-readiness assessments.
- Communicate architecture and engineering decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop or integrate Generative AI agents and MCP servers and use governed AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including leading the design and delivery of enterprise applications.
- At least 4 years of Java 21, Spring, and microservices development experience.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, scalability, resilience, and performance engineering.
- Hands-on experience with JMS concepts, Apache Kafka, Solace, REST APIs, and gRPC-based service design and integration.
- Strong database development experience with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL is desired.
- Experience with Redis, Oracle Coherence, database/cache synchronization, software design patterns, and enterprise integration patterns is desired.
- Experience with automated testing, BDD/Cucumber, headless testing, Jest, and React Testing Library is desired.
- Experience with Gradle, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Harness, and GitHub Actions is desired.
- Strong React, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience, including reusable components, hooks, state management, routing, forms, responsive interfaces, performance, accessibility, and deployment.
- Experience with Generative AI, agent development, MCP server creation or integration, Devin, and GitHub Copilot is desired.
- Familiarity with Autosys and Linux/Unix scripting is desired; Spark, Flink, SQL Server, and MongoDB are preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an MCA/equivalent qualification is required.
- Knowledge of capital markets, securities, investment banking, or prime brokerage is advantageous; relevant certifications and additional regional-language proficiency are beneficial.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are required.
