Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, implementation, and evolution of advanced automated test frameworks.
- Develop end-to-end and component automated tests using Java, JavaScript, Selenium, and related tools.
- Design and execute web-service, API, database, data-quality, integration, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enhance framework capabilities across varied environments.
- Evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies through analysis, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
- Shape scalable, maintainable, and adaptable software and data testing framework architecture.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Application Development, DevOps, and technical teams to establish test strategies.
- Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to Test Engineers.
- Identify and mitigate risks while incorporating control processes and compliance standards into testing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to use Java for development and test automation and build robust, scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience applying Java design patterns and data structures to complex testing scenarios and large-scale automation architectures.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG or JUnit, framework enhancements, and custom utility development.
- Experience with manual and automated web-services testing, REST/SOAP validation, API contract testing, and end-to-end integration automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD ecosystems and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
- Experience testing databases with Snowflake and using JDBC and Java for automated data validation and large-dataset quality checks.
- Ability to programmatically test software products and build scalable automation for proprietary codebases, internal libraries, and services.
- Experience with AngularJS, Protractor, Jasmine, JavaScript, JMeter, UFT/QTP, and other automation or performance testing frameworks.
- Experience automating service and API layers across distributed systems, including AWS cloud services and cloud-native testing strategies.
