Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners in a geographically distributed remote environment.
- Design and implement full-stack software using Python, Django, Ember, and PostgreSQL.
- Create well-designed, testable, efficient systems following company processes and industry best practices.
- Lead technical design initiatives and efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues using logs and stack traces.
- Write and maintain robust tests.
- Use pull requests to support knowledge sharing, teaching, and learning.
- Share ownership of team dynamics, processes, and growth.
Requirements
- Experience collaborating successfully in a remote environment.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Django, including REST APIs, models, and migrations.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and writing or reasoning about SQL.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, including tenant isolation and shared versus tenant data.
- Experience with a JavaScript framework; Ember is used by the team.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and pull-request-based delivery.
- Experience using Docker for local development.
- Willingness to use AI in day-to-day work.
- Preferred experience with Django REST Framework or an equivalent API framework, Redis, background jobs, payments or billing such as Stripe, AWS, authentication, feature flags, modern single-page applications, observability, end-to-end testing, CI/CD, integrations, and e-commerce, POS, or cart flows.
