Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements and business outcomes into detailed technical architectures and designs.
- Lead technical workshops, board-level sales presentations, customer training, and partner discussions.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams during implementation.
- Create technical architecture documentation and ensure implementations meet non-functional requirements.
- Work with QA to define test strategies and with DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Address security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, serviceability, and high availability.
- Travel significantly and work on-site during project inception and training or workshop engagements.
Requirements
- Deep professional knowledge of the Java platform.
- Experience with Spring, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, Micro-Services Architecture, architectural frameworks, and Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns, REST APIs, and ideally RAML and/or OpenAPI.
- Operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and infrastructure components used to deploy highly available and scalable web applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Preferred experience creating solutions for financial services, especially banking.
- Preferred experience with Portal/Web Content Management, CQRS, event sourcing, server virtualization, Docker, VMWare, HyperV, integration platforms, and API gateways.
