Responsibilities
- Implement and ship approved UX designs for Firefox screen, window, and tab sharing.
- Build tested, accessible, and localizable browser UI in a large codebase.
- Collaborate with UX on unanticipated design cases and with QA on validation.
- Support partner testing with Google Meet, Zoom, Jitsi, and other web conferencing services.
- Submit work through public code review in Phabricator and land it in mozilla-central.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building production user interfaces with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience faithfully implementing approved designs while identifying cases the designs do not cover.
- Ability to become productive quickly in a large, mature codebase.
- Experience writing automated tests for user interfaces.
- Strong asynchronous written communication and comfort working in a public open-source environment.
- Bonus: prior Firefox or open-source browser contributions, Firefox front-end architecture familiarity, WebRTC or getDisplayMedia experience, accessibility experience, Mozilla test framework experience, and effective use of AI tooling.
