Base Salary

$165k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable and performant frontend applications for web platforms.
  • Define and implement frontend best practices for accessibility, security, testing, performance, and maintainability.
  • Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar for frontend engineering.
  • Partner with Design, Product, backend, platform, and business teams to deliver effective user experiences and integrations.
  • Make architectural decisions regarding frameworks, tooling, and component design.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and lead initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects while improving reliability and reducing system complexity.
  • Assist in calibrating and developing the software engineering team.
  • Evaluate AI-assisted development tools and help establish effective team usage norms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with staff-level or equivalent technical scope.
  • Deep expertise with React, Node.js, GSAP, and their ecosystems and best practices.
  • Experience addressing web application security vulnerabilities and applying secure coding and development lifecycle practices.
  • Expertise with micro-frontend architecture in large-scale systems.
  • Experience architecting complex frontend applications that consume GraphQL, REST, and/or RPC APIs.
  • Deep knowledge of UI/UX principles, responsive and mobile-first design, SEO, WCAG accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with analytics, experimentation platforms, feature flagging, IAM/SSO systems, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud environments.
  • Experience with Playwright and Cypress testing frameworks and AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience contributing to technical roadmaps and strategic planning, launching 0-to-1 products, and working in startup settings.
  • Preferred experience with React Native, AI/ML platform foundations, developer AI tooling, automotive or ecommerce products, multi-tenant platforms, shared enterprise services, iOS, Android, and full-stack engineering.
