Responsibilities
- Act as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply chain engagements and drive Lightwell adoption with account teams.
- Lead technical conversations across developers, build engineers, engineering leadership, and security and compliance organizations.
- Configure, execute, and troubleshoot customer builds using Lightwell repositories alongside customer engineers.
- Deliver technical deep dives, proofs of concept, bake-offs, workshops, hackathons, and partner-specific solutions.
- Advise on artifact management, mirroring, pipeline integration, disconnected environments, and air-gapped delivery.
- Explain and implement dependency management, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline enforcement, and runtime security practices.
- Provide product feedback, ecosystem requests, competitive intelligence, documentation, and feature-testing support to the Lightwell business unit and engineering teams.
- Conduct customer advocacy, conference speaking, blogging, community outreach, and enablement for the Red Hat Technical Sales organization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of combined experience in software engineering, build/release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales, with responsibility for software dependencies and upgrades.
- Telco experience is required.
- Hands-on experience working in customer or production build environments and troubleshooting enterprise builds.
- Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints.
- Experience with enterprise artifact repositories, internal mirrors, registry configuration, build reproducibility, disconnected delivery, and multi-language codebases.
- Knowledge of SLSA Level 3, SPDX, CycloneDX, artifact signing, verification, HSM-backed signing, attestation, VEX, CSAF, provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion.
- Experience delivering technical presentations, leading business-value sessions, public speaking, and communicating accurately about product coverage and roadmaps.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customers and business requirements.
- Preferred experience as a sales engineer, technical sales professional, or similar role at an enterprise software company, SaaS company, or systems integrator.
- Preferred professional software development experience in Java or Python ecosystems, including dependency management and release responsibility.
- Preferred ownership of enterprise-scale CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms.
- Preferred DevSecOps, application security, product security, vulnerability management, dependency risk, or secure development lifecycle experience.
- Preferred sustained participation in an upstream open source project, particularly in packaging, release engineering, or maintenance.
- Preferred foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Preferred familiarity with relevant compliance regimes and control automation.
