Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed applications.
- Build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot with JDK 17 or later.
- Develop and optimize backend services and APIs for high availability and scalability.
- Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application, container, and Kubernetes layers.
- Work with messaging and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka.
- Participate in code reviews and promote quality, security, and performance best practices.
- Support production systems and contribute to incident resolution and on-call coverage.
- Mentor team members and facilitate Agile events including planning, stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on software development experience using Java.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and modern frameworks.
- Experience with distributed systems, performance tuning, and fault tolerance.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Exposure to messaging and streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- Skills in NoSQL data modeling, including Couchbase or similar technologies.
- Understanding of containerized deployments and Kubernetes.
- Comfort supporting production environments and participating in on-call rotations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and team collaboration; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
