Base Salary
$121k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead full stack development with ReactJS and Java/Spring or Node.js back ends using modular microservices on AWS.
- Own architecture decisions, design tradeoffs, security patterns, technical standards, and comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and/or GitLab CI, including artifact versioning, policy as code, and gated promotions.
- Champion Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration with observability, security, and resiliency controls.
- Establish automated unit, integration, contract, performance, and accessibility testing strategies.
- Drive SRE practices including performance monitoring, alerting, error budgets, capacity planning, incident response, and off-hours deployment support.
- Mentor engineers across multiple teams and lead design reviews, pair programming, and technical deep dives.
- Partner with Product Owners, business analysts, QA, and Security on scope, acceptance criteria, risk, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Java/Spring, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.
- Deep knowledge of cloud architectures, CI/CD, DevSecOps, QA frameworks, scalable design patterns, cloud messaging, and REST APIs.
- Strong database experience with schema design and query optimization across relational and NoSQL stores.
- Proven Agile delivery leadership, exceptional communication, distributed collaboration, and continuous-learning orientation.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or AWS DevOps Professional certification.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, JMS/SQS/SNS, Kafka, AWS Lambda, NiFi, PKI, Mocha/Chai, DevOps environments, and COTS/GOTS toolchains.
- Preferred proficiency includes Python, Groovy, or Shell scripting, plus familiarity with Istio and OpenAPI 3.0.
