
Senior/Principal Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture, development, deployment, and production handoff of agentic AI solutions for strategic enterprise customers.
- Design and ship Agentforce systems involving agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, deterministic guardrails, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Own data modeling, processing pipelines, and data readiness across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms.
- Resolve complex data integration, model deployment, orchestration, and performance issues in production environments.
- Build agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to monitor deployment health and business outcomes.
- Develop proofs of concept and MVPs, create reusable assets and internal frameworks, and codify customer-derived implementation patterns.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and shared codebases while providing technical leadership on strategically important deployments.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists and customer stakeholders to translate business challenges into production agentic AI solutions.
- Surface field insights, product gaps, and edge cases to Salesforce Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with end-to-end ownership of scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expertise in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, with familiarity with the others.
- Experience integrating LLMs into production, using LangChain or LlamaIndex, and applying prompt engineering and responsible AI practices.
- Deep experience in data modeling, processing, and analytics, with proficiency in Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Strong Salesforce platform expertise, including Agentforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience mentoring technical talent and creating reusable frameworks, playbooks, or internal tooling.
- Clear communication with engineering peers, customer architects, and executive stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time and work embedded with customer engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce certifications, familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices, observability tooling, data governance frameworks, multi-cloud enterprise AI architecture, open-source contributions, technical writing, or conference presentations.
