Base Salary
$145k - $247k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify healthcare product and business opportunities for machine learning and evaluate appropriate approaches.
- Design, develop, evaluate, deploy, maintain, and optimize machine learning models and production services.
- Build scalable data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and training datasets from structured and unstructured data.
- Apply testing, validation, monitoring, incident analysis, and remediation practices to models, code, services, and production workflows.
- Develop internal tools, reusable frameworks, experiment-tracking practices, model-versioning processes, and team standards.
- Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to improve model training, deployment, observability, and reproducibility tooling.
- Explore emerging machine learning and generative AI opportunities through analyses, proofs of concept, and prototypes.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing, and contribute to roadmap planning, estimation, and prioritization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years of professional hands-on experience developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Unix-based development environments.
- Experience building, testing, and maintaining production-grade machine learning services and workflows.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, statistical methods, model evaluation, and software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with natural language processing, computer vision, or other applied machine learning techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with deep learning, complex neural network architectures, large language model or generative AI training and fine-tuning, and AWS-based technologies such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, or Elastic Kubernetes Service is helpful.
