Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions for German and South African clients.
- Build backend services, REST APIs, and integration layers using object-oriented design principles and established design patterns.
- Write readable, efficient, testable code and deliver thoroughly tested and debugged software.
- Develop AI-assisted project environments with rule files, context documentation, MCP server configurations, and scaffolding.
- Review and validate AI-generated code, including its failure modes, hallucinations, and quality indicators.
- Contribute to code reviews, performance tuning, testing, and engineering-standard improvements.
Requirements
- Completed university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring, Kotlin, Maven, Gradle, and JUnit.
- Experience with object-oriented design, backend development, software testing, and established design patterns.
- Interest in agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking.
- Proactive, pragmatic, team-oriented, collaborative, and strong communication skills.
