Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Design and roll out DevOps tooling and automation.
- Develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Participate in incident response, peer reviews, and postmortems.
- Manage multi-environment AWS infrastructure, including Dockerized microservices in AWS ECS, data stores, and queueing technologies.
- Use Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure and reduce manual work.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on operational best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in development, architecture, and technology practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent.
- Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
- In-depth Docker experience, including container networking, storage, orchestration, deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic for monitoring and alerting.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and hands-on Kubernetes workload troubleshooting.
- Strong scripting skills with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and database performance optimization at scale.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and other distributed infrastructure components.
- Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience; professional certification is preferred.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise, preferably with EKS, including cluster architecture, networking, autoscaling, scheduling, ingress controllers, and storage management.
- Previous experience deploying and managing machine learning models and developing data pipelines is preferred.
