Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of production-grade agentic AI and cloud-native applications.
- Own the engineering quality bar for one to two delivery teams across architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, runbooks, and on-call readiness.
- Write production code using Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and pairing while guiding technical architecture.
- Apply design thinking to translate business needs into scalable solutions through discovery, prototyping, validation, and iterative delivery.
- Integrate model gateways, tool and service registries, memory stores, guardrails, identity services, evaluation frameworks, and operational controls.
- Align delivery with enterprise architecture, governance, security, reliability, and production-support standards.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building cloud-native, production-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, microservices, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
- At least 8 years of experience with distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, security, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, logging, metrics, tracing, and on-call readiness.
- Experience engineering agentic AI applications with tool integration, memory, guardrails, evaluations, identity, governance, and production operational controls.
- Proven experience as a Principal Engineer, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineering Leader guiding enterprise-scale cloud-native and AI-enabled applications.
- Strong technical leadership, design thinking, communication, mentoring, architecture, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; 10 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Knowledge of U.S. payment processing involving ACH and wires is preferred.

- The role is based in India with work hours of 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
- Enhanced Flexibility requires availability from 6:00 AM to 11:30 AM Eastern Time for India and U.S. team meetings, with remaining hours flexible; timings adjust twice yearly and exceptions may apply for business needs.
