Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices-based solutions.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and high-quality software deliverables.
- Participate in architecture discussions and solution design decisions.
- Implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and EventBridge.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support CI/CD automation and release processes.
- Lead complex technical investigations and production issue resolutions.
- Implement automated unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Ensure observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
- Drive secure coding practices, clean code, code reviews, engineering standards, and technical debt reduction.
- Use AI engineering tools for code generation, test automation, documentation, code review support, root-cause analysis, and solution design acceleration.
- Drive responsible and secure adoption of AI-assisted development practices and evaluate emerging AI capabilities.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on software engineering and AI-enabled development practices.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, technical leadership, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with full-stack development using ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building microservices and distributed or event-driven systems.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Kafka, JPA/Hibernate, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, API security, and open banking APIs is valued.
- Experience with automated testing, secure coding, design patterns, performance optimization, and observability is valued.
- Experience using Claude, GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted software development practices is valued.
- Experience with AI-powered application development and agentic AI concepts is valued.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and mentoring engineers.
- Banking, payments, cards, lending, or financial services experience is valued.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Managers, Designers, and Business Analysts.
