Base Salary
$85k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software components, cloud-native services, APIs, automation frameworks, and platforms supporting Windows validation and monthly security releases.
- Build validation automation that detects regressions, identifies quality risks, improves signal quality, and reduces manual analysis.
- Develop AI-powered and agent-based engineering solutions using AI-assisted development workflows to improve investigation and root cause analysis.
- Create telemetry pipelines, dashboards, visualizations, and reporting for validation effectiveness, release readiness, security-fix quality, and operational health.
- Support production validation services by investigating incidents, mitigating reliability issues, and improving monitoring, documentation, automation, and resiliency.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, operational reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and release teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience, with proven coding experience.
- Experience with software applications, services, APIs, automation systems, engineering tools, or modern programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud services, distributed systems, software design, debugging, testing, code quality, source control, and modern engineering workflows.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, or cloud-native architectures is preferred.
- Experience with telemetry, analytics, Kusto/KQL, Power BI, large-scale engineering data, validation frameworks, quality analytics, or release-readiness workflows is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, large language models, retrieval systems, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, or intelligent automation is preferred.
- Experience supporting production services and participating in operational excellence initiatives is preferred.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
