Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, develop, and code complex large-scale enterprise applications and high-volume APIs.
- Build and maintain Go-based applications, event-driven systems, unit tests, and component tests.
- Partner with product managers and internal teams to deliver platform features and improvements.
- Establish engineering practices across teams, including code review, build and release processes, retrospectives, and CI/CD.
- Develop team strategy, prioritize technology initiatives, and introduce impactful technologies through research and proof-of-concept work.
- Lead and manage engineering talent, including hiring, retention, planning, budgetary control, people management, and vendor management.
- Support DevOps, reliability engineering, platform monitoring, and communication with internal and external business partners.
Requirements
- Experience designing, developing, and testing software in an Agile environment using Go.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, software design, event-driven architecture, and high-volume API development.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian development and collaboration tools, and distributed technologies.
- Experience leading engineering teams and managing people, budgets, vendors, and technology strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of loyalty, rewards, credit-card, or payments technologies and experience with open-source frameworks are preferred.
