Base Salary
$175k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop code using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and related tooling.
- Build enterprise-scale backend REST APIs with Express.js using an API-first paradigm.
- Use PostgreSQL and SQL databases, including adding and modifying database structures.
- Implement cloud-based services with a focus on security, performance, and scalability.
- Debug code, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement complex business logic.
- Integrate external services and develop new REST services.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, architects, DevOps Engineers, and other engineers.
- Perform code reviews and help establish development best practices and processes for improving code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Five years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
- Three years of experience working with Node.js.
- Two years of experience with AWS.
- One year of experience with SQL-based databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Three years of experience building enterprise-scale backend REST APIs with frameworks such as Express.js.
- Three years of experience building systems for the cloud.
- Three years of experience with modern design patterns, enterprise-grade production applications, and version control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure services including ECS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
- Must have lived in the United States for a total of three full years out of the last five years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must reside in the United States, be authorized to work in the United States, and perform the work in the United States.
