Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, high-level reviews, and advice across multiple engineering teams.
- Design scalable technical solutions for complex business problems in a high-traffic environment handling 20krpm+.
- Influence long-term technical roadmaps and manage project timelines, risks, and sustainable delivery pace.
- Mentor engineers across levels and support the development of emerging engineering leaders.
- Lead engineering interviews and contribute to recruiting strategy.
- Build and operate readable, well-tested web applications and high-scale distributed systems.
Requirements
- Significant experience building web-based applications at scale.
- Proficiency in or strong willingness to learn Go, Ruby, Python, Scala, or Rust.
- Practical experience with distributed systems and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with NoSQL backends such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- Proven ability to design and operate systems handling high request volumes and complex logistical workflows.
- Strong ability to align multiple disciplines and teams around ambiguous technical challenges.
