Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver data-focused products for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop software using a range of cloud, backend, data, and service technologies.
- Participate in design reviews and proof-of-concept development.
- Contribute to solution design in alignment with the technical roadmap and industry best practices.
- Work on distributed systems, large-scale data challenges, machine learning, visualizations, or interactive user interfaces based on team needs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring, and potentially manage small teams.
- Make significant, self-directed, end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
- Build and improve always-on web services and globally scaled systems.
Requirements
- Commercial object-oriented programming and software design experience using C#, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Aliyun.
- Understanding of web-based, service-oriented applications and integrated back-office systems.
- Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git.
- Experience with Agile development practices and Agile Scrum tools such as Jira.
- A sustained track record of significant, self-directed, end-to-end contributions to large software projects.
- Broad technical leadership experience developing web services and always-on systems.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, creative problem-solving ability, and comfort evaluating trade-offs from first principles.
- Product-focused mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
