Base Salary
$91k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Designs and executes software integration, test, validation, and verification activities for flight software.
- Develops test plans, cases, scenarios, procedures, metrics, and test data aligned with requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Configures test environments and executes manual and automated tests for functionality, performance, safety, scalability, and resilience.
- Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks, including integration with CI/CD pipelines and toolchains.
- Identifies, documents, prioritizes, and tracks defects, anomalies, vulnerabilities, and corrective actions.
- Collaborates with software developers, systems engineers, stakeholders, and multifunctional teams to resolve defects and improve designs.
- Coordinates test-related planning, scheduling, resource management, milestones, and project activities.
- Defines test metrics and KPIs, drives process and tooling improvements, and supports risk-based, safety, hazard, and cybersecurity analysis.
- Mentors junior test engineers and, at senior levels, establishes verification best practices, governance, and standards.
- Represents verification activities in program reviews, audits, and supplier engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience performing software integration, test, validation, and verification.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance after starting; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.
- Preferred qualifications include 5 or more years of related experience for Level 3 or 9 or more years for Level 4, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience includes the full software development lifecycle through Formal Qualification, GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, embedded real-time software, Wireshark, network analysis tools, debuggers, and automated software builds and tests using a DevOps toolchain.
- Candidates must complete a CodeVue technical assessment as part of the selection process.
- Candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process and U.S. export control compliance requirements.
