Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of AI integration infrastructure, including MCP servers, orchestration layers, and API gateways.
- Build advanced RAG systems, agentic AI workflows, multi-step reasoning systems, and other AI-enabled product features.
- Lead technical initiatives from requirements through production deployment and make architectural decisions balancing performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability.
- Design AI evaluation frameworks, quality benchmarks, monitoring, and observability practices.
- Implement AI security measures addressing prompt injection and data leakage, and champion responsible AI practices including bias detection, fairness, and transparency.
- Debug complex production issues across traditional software and AI systems.
- Lead technical design discussions, drive consensus, identify systemic issues, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex systems.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building and deploying production AI/ML features.
- Strong Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript expertise, advanced React and frontend architecture skills, and strong Python development experience.
- Extensive AWS architecture experience with strong AWS Bedrock exposure.
- Expert PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance-tuning experience; experience with MSSQL is included in the stated stack.
- Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API design, software design patterns, and clean-code practices.
- Expertise designing and implementing MCP servers and AI integration architectures.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills, including chain-of-thought, few-shot learning, and optimization.
- Experience building agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration and tool use.
- Deep understanding of AI challenges including hallucinations, context limits, latency, and cost.
- Technical leadership skills, including design facilitation, consensus building, judgment under uncertainty, proactive problem identification, and mentoring.
