Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable front-end and back-end microservices and distributed systems.
- Develop reusable, high-quality, testable code and support the software development lifecycle.
- Build data pipelines, services, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines using the stated technologies.
- Ensure enterprise platforms are highly available, scalable, fault tolerant, and secure.
- Review technical designs and provide Ford-specific support to system integrators.
- Create engineering designs and system information-flow documentation.
- Work with product owners to identify, challenge, and prioritize business value and associated metrics.
- Collaborate with system integrators, Ford IT, and business teams to meet enterprise objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of five years of IT experience.
- At least two years of experience developing data pipelines and services with Python and supporting libraries.
- At least two years of experience developing React-based front-end applications.
- At least two years of experience implementing CI/CD pipelines integrated with security and compliance tools such as 42Crunch, SonarQube, or FOSSA.
- At least one year of experience applying TDD or BDD practices for unit and system integration validation.
- At least two years of experience with cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS.
- At least one year of experience developing near-real-time integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- At least one year of experience with database tools and technologies such as PostgreSQL, CloudSQL, or MongoDB.
- At least one year of experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Tekton or Jenkins.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP-native application deployment and monitoring, Python data pipelines for agentic data needs, AI-enabled development automation, Java and Spring RESTful services, large-scale eCommerce expertise, and GCP, Java, or AI certifications.
