Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, design decisions, implementation quality, integrations, performance, and sustainability of ServiceNow squad products.
- Design, build, configure, and evolve ServiceNow workflows, scoped applications, automations, integrations, reporting, and platform capabilities.
- Apply platform governance and enterprise architecture standards while managing technical debt, reuse, application boundaries, and modernization needs.
- Design and deliver scoped applications with appropriate cross-scope access and lifecycle management through source control.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Create technical documentation, lead design discussions and code reviews, and mentor and coach engineers.
- Communicate designs, risks, trade-offs, and technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, architects, engineers, analysts, and chapter members across Agile squads.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience serving as the senior technical reference for a product or squad and owning end-to-end design decisions.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM).
- Experience designing and delivering scoped applications, including application boundaries, cross-scope access, and lifecycle management through source control.
- Experience with solution performance, integrations, product reliability, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow development, including server-side and client-side scripting, security, performance, and debugging.
- Experience designing and building ServiceNow integrations using REST, GraphQL, IntegrationHub, security configuration, and third-party applications.
- Experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards within a team.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CSM, or CTA are highly preferred.
